MC50+ exterior glass railing description

The MC50+ glass guardrail is a French-style glass guardrail system, i.e. one that will be fixed directly to the ground or to a slab.

The kit consists of a basic rail profile 15 cm wide by 30 cm long, accompanied by an aluminum cover and cover caps.

Its versatile design allows a multitude of architectural applications, adapting to different styles and project requirements. For specific installations, such as those exceeding 10 meters in length on a continuous basis or in areas of heavy pedestrian traffic, we recommend consulting an expert to obtain a technical opinion ensuring the system's proper operation.

The system is compatible with the use of 6+6 mm, 8+8 mm and 10+10 mm laminated safety glass. The use of laminated glass is crucial, as it helps to prevent injury in the event of glass breakage; shards remain adhered to the PVB coating.

Technical specifications

The components of the MC50+ glass guardrail are designed to combine aesthetics and functionality. They include a T5-grade 6063 Aluminum Alloy accessory, renowned for its strength and lightness, which facilitates installation while ensuring a solid structure. The anodized surface treatment offers additional protection against corrosion, which is essential for outdoor use.

Installation of the system is quick and easy, reducing on-site set-up time. What's more, the presence of two types of longitudinal cover, one curved and the other rectangular, enables harmonious integration into different architectural contexts, whether modern or more traditional.

For safety, the system uses laminated safety glass, available in thicknesses of 6+6 mm and 8+8 mm, to guarantee increased resistance in the event of impact. However, there are some restrictions to bear in mind: the length of longitudinal covers must not exceed 6000 mm, and the maximum size of glass is limited to 1200 mm wide and 1100 mm high. These specifications ensure that the exterior glass railing remains both safe and compliant with industry standards.
